What are we learning this term?

Every class has been introduced to their new History driven enquiry question this term. Take a look at what each year group will be answering, and some of their key learning.
Year 1: 'Is all change for the better?'
Focusing on changes within living memory, year 1 will be looking at how schools, transport, communication, toys and Christmas have changed within the last 100 years.
Year 2: 'How do tough times make us stronger?'
Focusing on the Royal Family and the Great Fire of London, year 2 will be looking at how these events have influenced history.
Year 3: ‘Why is the future not set in stone?’
Focusing on pre-historic Britain, year 3 will be looking at a number of changes that occurred such as homes, tools, weapons and art.
Year 4: 'How can innovation create a legacy?'
Focusing on the causes, responses and aftermath of the Romans, year 4 will be thinking about the impact the Roman empire had on Future Britain.
Year 5: 'What happened in Britain after the Romans left?'
Building on from their previous learning, year 5 will look at what came after the Romans, focusing on the Anglo-Saxons and the influence they had.
Year 6: ‘How can struggle build strength?
Y6 children learn about WW2 in Nottingham and how it was affected.
