From September 2018, Mrs Godber is having a close look at making sure our School Council is truly democratic, in keeping with the British Values philosophy. We will be following this procedure for the forthcoming elections:
During week commencing 10th September, information regarding School Council elections will be sent to parents via Newsletter or Parentmail. Teachers will ask children who are interested to prepare a brief presentation stating why they should be class rep. Year 6 presentations and elections will take place first (during week commencing 10th September) using voting slips and a ballot box. The Year 6 reps elected will then assist in the class elections in the rest of school during the following week, using the same process and closely monitored by Mrs Godber.
Class reps will be congratulated on their selection in time for the first meeting on Thursday 27th September!
