Year 5 enjoyed making Viking bread this afternoon. We did some mixing and kneading before moulding our bread into different shapes and topping it off with some oats!

Some fabulous writing from our Year 5s this week based on the Saga of Bjorn. We focused on using figurative language, varying sentence openers and exciting vocabulary in our writing.

Year 5 have enjoyed exploring which materials are electrical conductors and which are electrical insulators by testing them in circuits. We discovered that some electrical conductors allow a bulb to shine brighter than others.

Year 5 had a brilliant time at Perlethorpe today on their first school trip of the year and made the most of all the activities despite the rain.

Year 5 enjoying ‘Viking Boy’ around a campfire in the woods this afternoon. We can’t sit to get stuck into our first topic.
