How far is a kilometre?

These photos are from a Maths lesson. We wanted to investigate how far a kilometre is. We counted the number of steps of approximately 1/2 metre it took to walk all the way round the football pitch or field. Then we did the Maths to work out how many times round we would need to go round before we had walked a kilometre.

These are photos from an invertebrate hunt in the woods we did as part of our Science topic of animals including humans.

Parables

This was an RE lesson about parables. The children wrote and acted out their own short parable based on a moral lesson they had either been given or come up with themselves.
