How far is a kilometre?

These photos are from a Maths lesson. We wanted to investigate how far a kilometre is. We counted the number of steps of approximately 1/2 metre it took to walk all the way round the football pitch or field. Then we did the Maths to work out how many times round we would need to go round before we had walked a kilometre.

Invertebrate hunt

These are photos from an invertebrate hunt in the woods we did as part of our Science topic of animals including humans.

Parables

This was an RE lesson about parables. The children wrote and acted out their own short parable based on a moral lesson they had either been given or come up with themselves.

Roman Numerals

Year 4 enjoyed the sunshine whilst making Roman numerals out of twigs.

Leaf Art

Rowan had a fantastic art lesson exploring colour spectrums through natural materials, working with Autumn leaves and watercolours.

Portraits

A very enjoyable afternoon teaching art to Rowan class. First pieces of work complete with a focus on portraiture linking to this term’s topic of Crime and Punishment. Here are some of my favourites. Mrs Kang
