This week, Year 4 thought about what makes them happy and wrote some lovely poems.
Year 4 have had a PSHE lesson about racism, based on recent events. They produced some brilliant work to show that we should celebrate our differences.

A brilliant effort from Rowan Class on Friday doing a sponsored 5k run and cake sale to raise money to buy their top ten favourite books from book week! Almost £400 raised!

Year 4 learnt all about the process of mummification by mummifying some tomatoes! We can’t wait to see if it actually preserves them like the ancient Egyptian bodies!
Year 4 took their maths learning outside today and used the patio slabs to try to calculate the area!
Year 4 have been looking at “The Great Wave” as part of our natural disasters topic and learning about tsunamis. We have been experimenting with watercolours to try and recreate the colours that Hokusai used in the original.
Year 4 held their own "Enterprise" stall at our Christmas Fayre - their very own Christmas decorations stuffed with Edwalton alpaca wool!
Year 4 had a brilliant trip to the Magna Science Adventure Centre on Friday, 22nd November. We especially loved the fire tornado and our volcano workshop!
Year 4 have loved learning about the Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses, which involved designing our own "Top Trumps" cards and then playing against each other!
Year 4 have been learning the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. We went out into our woods to act out the story to help prepare us for retelling the story in our extended write this week.
Year 4 had a great time in maths making Roman numerals out of sticks!
